About Us

Originally founded by Dr. Larry Hovland (Hovland Veterinary Service) in the 1960's, an old chicken hatchery was turned into a veterinary office. Throughout the last decades things have changed but the staple of care has remained the same. The clinic was purchased by Dr. Andrea Sand in 2019 and her dream of returning to her home town became a reality. A wonderful blend of tried & true and new & innovative has led to a very diversified, dynamic team.

We utilize the latest technology and diagnostic techniques with our experienced team of veterinarians and support staff, some of whom have been working with many of our clients for over 30 years. We have a passion for both pets and large animals and provide an experience that feels like coming home every time you visit.
