Dustin grew up in the rural Kathryn, ND area and attended Lisbon High School. He completed a course in Linemen school and worked in the field for several years before returning home to farm with his parents. He enjoys spending time with his beauitful wife, Sam, and their daughter, Charlie. They have several horses, cattle, and two dogs. Sam and Dustin enjoy competitve mounted shooting in their free time. Dustin's favorite animal to work on is cattle. He also is an Indepenednt Salesman/Technician for Select Sires semen.

When asked why he chose to join the veterinary profession Dustin said "Well, we couldn't get the crops out of the wet fields and Andrea asked if I wanted to come with to work one group of calves down south of Oakes. That turned into a job I guess."
