Tanner grain farms and raises cattle with his family in the Stirum area. He is an an avid hunter, fisherman, and all around outdoors kind of guy. When not working, he enjoys spending timewith his sweetheart, Amber, and their dog, Willa.

When asked why he chose to join the veterinary profession Tanner said "You know, I never had considered a job in the veterinary field but it just has made a lot of sense. I have cattle myself and have really enjoyed seeing different operations and learning about a different side of cattle management."
